On Thursday 23rd May 2024, Representatives from Forbes Marshall visited the department of Mechanical Engineering where they held a full day training on steam and boiler plants applications in the industry. The training targeted students in their final academic year and members of staff. 

The training was officiated by the Associate Dean, School of Engineering Prof. Thomas Ochuku who praised the initiative and emphasized on the need for deeper ties and collaborations between industry and academia.

Also in attendance were Eng. Dr. D. K. Njoroge, the chairman of the department, Dr. Richard Kimilu among other members of staff and students.

The training was part of a series of trainings and collaborations between the department of mechanical engineering and Forbes Marshall.
